North Shore Holiday House

Huntington, NY

The campers come from economically disadvantaged families who qualify for the USDA lunch program.

Founded in 1914, it is the only camp if its kind on Long Island, with groups of 50 campers attending each of four 2-week sessions. Smilezone teamed up with Northwell Health on this project and now continues this partnership at the Staten Island University Pediatric Clinic.

Project PLAY

Huntington, NY

For decades, Project PLAY and St. John's Camp have provided a safe and enjoyable summer experience for thousands of needy children throughout Huntington. The full-day camps, conducted free of charge for nearly 300 children annually, feature nutritious meals, games & activities, field trips, and an educational component. All expenses, including meals, supervision, transportation, supplies, and activities are covered by the Town of Huntington and a NY State grant. In an effort to enhance the camp experience and provide greater educational and recreational opportunities for children, there is a need to generate private donations to supplement the Town's annual support.
